This includes the 27 publicly permitted pools that are absolutely essential for running many of our accessible and community-focused programs. But now, a quiet fear is rippling through our community: the very places where these memories are made, all 66 school pools in Toronto, are facing the real threat of closure, including the 27 publicly accessible ones that are the lifeblood of so many learn-to-swim programs.
