So — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an each way payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at betting odds converter and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

What actually changed how I bet was the more serious extras. There’s an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. Its interface feels a bit basic — zero flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

So — have been messing about with this thing for about six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now stick my stake in first, every time, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here how to calculate a lucky 15 and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What genuinely made a difference were the geekier extras. They’ve got an implied probability thing and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface looks pretty plain — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.

OK — been on this thing for maybe four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, for context.

What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and you get returns straight away, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s over at lucky 63 quotenrechner — free, no signup.

The thing that actually changed how I bet is the more serious tools. There’s an probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent if I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. Its design is very functional, let’s say — zero polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me but you asked.

Anyway. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Right — been on this thing for something like six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could work out what an ew return would be once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get returns with no faffing, fractions or decimals. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at free matched bet calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The odds-to-probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Couple of gripes. The layout feels a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s usable though the acca grid are a squeeze. And no proper app, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.

Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie.

Yo tiro mucho de Book of Dead y Gates of Olympus, si bien tambien le he dado a los Megaways.
