ゲストRight — have been messing about with this thing for maybe six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never figure out what an e/w return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. These days I type the odds in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out returns with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I always lose track. If you want a look, it’s here calculate vig — free, no signup.
One thing that genuinely shifted things for me is the geekier extras. The odds-to-probability thing that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. The design feels a bit basic — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s fine though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
