Right — been using this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am in the UK, generally do football and horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an ew payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and it spits out the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at each way betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that really made a difference is the geekier bits. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design looks pretty plain — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And no proper app, just the site — slight shame but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been on this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an e/w payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now type the odds in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at accumulator betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually shifted things for me was the nerdier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. The design looks pretty plain — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.

So yeah. Free, barely any ads, works. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
